PGA Merchandise Show Opens This Week in Orlando

61st PGA Merchandise Show opens this week in Orlando.

Golf vendors of every type will hawk their wares and introduce new products this week at the 61st PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

The traditional Outdoor Demo Day will kick off the festivities on Tuesday, January 21. It features more than 100 top golf equipment companies, training aids, performance wear manufacturers and golf accessory companies. Over 200 hitting bays, practice greens and the vendor village fill the entire 42-acre practice facility at Orange County National Golf Center.

The show will continue Wednesday-Friday, January 22-24, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

This “major” of golf business features the top names in golf manufacturing with over 40,000 golf industry professionals from more than 75 countries in attendance. An abundance of new golf products will be introduced and golf’s foremost industry leaders will present forums and seminars throughout the show.

Golf Channel’s Morning Drive will broadcast live every day from the Orange County Convention Center floor during the PGA Merchandise Show.

Famed entrepreneur and golf course developer, Donald Trump will join PGA of America President Ted Bishop, former USGA Executive Director David Fay, Golf Channel President Mike McCarley, and TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Chief Executive Officer Mark King for a State of the Industry panel discussion.

On Wednesday evening the PGA of America will present their most prestigious annual awards. Annika Sorenstam will be recognized with the First Lady of Golf Award, Michael Doctor will receive the PGA Professional of the Year and Lou Guzzi will be awarded the PGA Teacher of the Year.

There will even be an indoor demo area and equipment test center for show attendees to get their hands on the newest golf products.

Here is just a partial list of the big names that will be attending the show, Graeme McDowell, Annika Sorenstam, Greg Norman, Peter Jacobson, Nancy Lopez, Lee Trevino, Hank Haney, Dave Pelz and David Leadbetter.

The 61st PGA Merchandise Show promises to be a total golf experience for golf professionals and enthusiasts.
