Toledo Golf Courses Offer Challenges for Every Golfer

There are many wonderful Toledo Golf Courses that offer a variety of challenges for any golfer.   From historic, and challenging layouts to courses that offer complete banquet, as well as, full service resort style facilities, Toledo has it all.

The Legacy, Stone Ridge, Eagle’s Landing and Maumee Bay State Park were all designed by Arthur Hills, offer upscale public play, and provide the daily green fee player with a more exclusive country club style atmosphere.

The Legacy by Arthur Hills is located five miles north of the Ohio/Michigan state line and only minutes from downtown Toledo.  It opened for play in 1997 and is ranked among the top 200 places to play in the country.  It features well mounded, pristine fairways, demanding bunkers, strategically placed water hazards and is a challenge for golfers of every skill level.  It features a beautiful clubhouse, with banquet and restaurant facilities.

If you are looking to improve your game the Clare Batista Academy is also located at the Legacy and offers group, as well as, individual lessons.

Stone Ridge Golf Club is located just a short drive south of Toledo in Bowling Green.  It is a well maintained 18-hole championship course with a fully stocked pro shop, beautiful club house, dining, and banquet facilities.  The demanding par 72 layout offers wide fairways, deep bunkers, and strategic mounding that will provide an enjoyable day on the links for any golfer.

Maumee Bay State Park Resort Golf Course located on the shores of Lake Erie opened for play in 1991 and has the feel of a links-style golf course.  Mounding, bunkers and prevailing wind create a true test for any golfer.  The resort features a hotel, individual lodges and a camp ground for the perfect weekend getaway or extended stay.  It can also host your next conference, has a gorgeous sandy beach and miles of hiking and biking trails.

Also built along the Lake Erie shoreline, Eagle’s Landing is an 18-hole championship course that opened for play in 1998.  Eight picturesque lakes and 70 bunkers scattered about the course await errant golf balls.  Large well maintained undulating greens give players the opportunity to show off their putting expertise. The course also features four sets of tees on each hole to provide an enjoyable round for every golfer.

Another public Toledo Golf Course that should not be missed is historic Ottawa Park built in 1898.  It only stretches to 5,400 yards from the back tees but is a joy to play and offers golfers of all skill levels a chance to play a rolling, tree lined, parkland style course.

Tamaron Golf Club, Detwiler Park, South Toledo, Bedford Hills, White Pines, Riverby Hills, and Heather Downs are all Toledo Golf Courses open to the public and will not disappoint any golfer looking for a fun day on the golf course.
